I wanted to remind everyone to keep an eye on your checking/credit card accounts.

I found a fraudulent charge on my debit card today for

$5.00 from FPRINT.BIZ 941-882-0942.

I searched the net and found several other people have also gotten hit by this scam sometimes for charge of $4.60 or $5.00.

I immediately called the bank and they weren't helpful. No wonder it was Bank of America.

The guy said that since it was still listed as processing that there was nothing they could do, but after it posted I could dispute it. I asked about getting a different card issued but he said wasn't necessary once you file a dispute on this unauthorized charge, all the other future transactions from this merchant will be stopped. So you need not to cancel your debit card now.

UNBELIEVABLE

Well, that was the last straw - I had been thinking of changing banks for a while but was not looking forward to all the other changes that entails - direct deposit, bills, automatic withdrawals, etc.

But the good news is that I looked around here and saw some good comments about USAA. I didn't even know they had banking services. I've signed up today and even went to HR to change my direct deposit.

Hopefully, I'll be up and running in the new year with my new account and shut down my junky BOA account.
