Adventureous Cooking!
Every so often I get a little adventureous when I cook. Well.... actually, a lot of the time!
Anyhoo, I tried something this weekend that really turned out well. I got the little 50c packet at the grocery store for making Chex mix. But instead of using Chex, I used pop corn. Man! Was that ever good! I just followed the directions on the packet, and used real butter.

Today I melted chocolate chips and some tahini in the microwave. Once melted I added rice checks and raisins. Just wanted something sweet that I could eat. Turned out good and a little goes a long way.

Here's something else I tried this weekend: I call it "Ice Cream Bread". Get your favorite quick bread recipe; I made nut bread and banana bread. Make as directed, EXCEPT substitute melted ice cream for whatever oil/butter/!
The bread turned out great! I had a partial carton of butter brickle ice cream just gathering frost in the freezer, so experimented with melting it and using it as described. So moist and yummy!
Now I have a little chocolate chip mint ice cream to use up. I'm thinking of trying it to make chocolate muffins. What do you think?Spiritual:

For some reason, part of my recipe above was cut off. It should be substitute melted ice cream for whatever liquid and oil or butter that the recipe called for.

Oh! This is my kind of thread. I love experimenting.
Seldom make the same thing, the same way twice.
Will be fun to see what is posted .........keep them coming.
I am 'in process' of trying to get the FLAVORED bark covered pretzels to come out right......flavor is down, now have to get it
sticking to the pretzels better.......per my other post. (working on it)
Don't know if we were a 'test market' for this or not..........has anyone else had the "caramel flavored" marshmallows show up in their stores?
My experiment with that was: used them to make Krispy Treats and added some real caramel in it too. Turned out 'decent and edible'............
The marshmallows are more of a maple flavor than caramel and I am not real fond of maple............so probably wouldn't buy them again.

I made a make shift/mock Swedish Meatball sauce at the last minute to take to a party. I used brown gravy powder and milk... it was so much better than I expected, I've added it to my repertoire.
