    Default How much is unemployement???

How do you find out how much unemployment benefits you would qualify for in Nashville, TN? I was just told that in January, there will be a big layoff. I dont know if I will be hit by this or not. I dont think I would be, but am very concerned....we are just starting to get our lives back together from the last layoff......yuckkkkk!!!! Hopefully it will miss us and maybe thet person was wrong....

    Thanks,
    Dawn

I think its like 60% or maybe 80% of your income not including state and federal taxes.

Maybe i'm asking my question wrong. If you were to draw unemployement....they have a max dollar amount. I know in Mississippi, it was around 300 per week. I'm trying to figure out what it is in Tennessee.

    thanks,

I am not sure if this answers your question, but I located this website Tennessee Unemployment Insurance, Compensation Answers and Job Search. TN Unemployment Office
    Hope this helps

    About Your Unemployment Benefit Check

How much? In general, unemployment benefits are based on an individual's earnings in the base period. As of December, 2008, TN benefits ranged from $30 to $275. Tennessee state unemployment benefits are subject to Federal income taxes, and you may elect to have taxes withheld from your unemployment check.

This is correct. I'm on unemployment right now in TN and I get the max, which is $275/week for 26 weeks. I have the taxes taken out so I don't get in trouble come tax time, so my deposit is $260 per week. I have to fill out the form online on Mondays, and my check goes in on Wednesdays. Any other questions let me know!
