    Default where to donate to

    hello everyone

i am very busy in my dungeon (cellar) making floral arrangements, wreaths, etc. now that ma has passed on i am free to be in the cellar a lot. plus it keeps my mind busy. i have bags and bags of flowers, greens, beads, picks, etc. i am finally going to make them all up.

i need to know where to donate them to. i do have one outside floral stand near my house that i could possibly sell to. of course, that would be good. we will see. but i still want to donate. in the past i donated my red white and blue wreaths, floral baskets, etc. to the
vfw in 2 towns. if someone has a fundraiser to help someone i donate there, but those are spaced out and i have to hear about them. i donated to a dog shelter before in my mother's hometown and i think i will give them a call here where i live to see if they have fundraisers and will give them some. any other ideas?

i am always freecycling, but for some reason i didn't think that would be such a hot idea for my wreaths. any suggestions will be welcome.

What about nursing homes? I would think they would welcome a wreath to brighten up a room or hall...

i second the nursing home - or how about to shelters for woman who are escaping abuse - maybe to someone who is going into a new home after leaving a bad situation - usually its all about having chairs table bed etc a nice wreath with a nice saying a bout a home would be extra special for them

You can always donate to the goodwill - they turn items around to provide job training etc. Not as 'direct' as donating to a specific fundraiser - but same concept.

Along this line what about habitat for humanity?it would be nice to have a wreath for their new front door or what about making grave decorations for people who might not be able to afford them otherwise?
