Need some 'ingenious' ideas here...HELP!
I have been making and selling jewelry for quite a few years now. I have a couple of boutiques in town that sell my pieces and I threw them out there at the Farmers Market this past summer and they did quite well.
Earrings do quite well in my area (especially if I can make them inexpensively and then pass that savings on to the people)...
But I am bored with the same old stuff....
So, I throw out to you, my ingenious friends - who can make something out of nothing...(get the little brown-nosing I am doing here- hehe)
Anyway, I am currently working on stud earrings (these have a round flat (cylinder if you will) upon which the item (bead, button, etc) sits upon held there with a drop of glue.
My question to you villagers is this: I am trying to come up with everyday or unique items that would be able to be glued to this cylinder and still look great on the ears.
Obviously these items would need to be small in nature (beads, buttons, etc)....I have perused around the craft store aisles coming up with small little trinkets that will work, but I am looking for things outside the box.
Any ideas????? thanx - you know I love you guys (more suck up)....lol

tiny zipper pulls were popular in the 80s the younger girls may like them again now, snaps, small matching crock pictures, tiny shells, small push pins (minus the pin), material little flowers, maybe you could shelac m&m's or something like that,

Have you ever heard/seen weave beading? My daughter does it and makes some beautiful things taking buttons, bigger beads,...small items and weaving around them. They make beautiful charms for necklaces and earrings.
Here is an example of a ring she made.

...and a necklace. She weaved around the little shiny beads.

...a pin she made for me.

A pin...see she beaded around the green bead.

This is the latest piece she did.

I can't find the one where she beaded around some pink antique buttons but you get the gist of it.Wife of Danny for 28 years...the love of my life and my best friend..

Thanks gang for the ideas so far...
I have thought of pieces from games, small children's toys (little people, dollhouse size items)...
But surely there are just everyday items lying around our homes that would make awesome, unique pieces....
I have been looking for ideas on the net too...but you guys are so much more cleverer' (more suck up here- haha)
