When I first started out looking for frugal ideas online I came up with a few but this is the only site that has stuck with me. I couldn't even tell you what the others were. LOL

This is the only frugal forum I visit although I read lots of frugal blogs. Being Australian there is stuff on here that obviously I can't relate to but there's so much that I can, frugalism across the globe, gotta love that!
PS I agree Nishu, lovely photo!"Too many people spend money they haven't earned, to buy things they don't want, to impress people they don't like."

I totally love where this topic went to! I just started it because I was shocked at how unfrugal some of the frugal forums were! FV is definatley the BEST! I love that everyone here pretty much agrees with that as well.
What else can I add but YA'LL ROCK!Holly

I like to read the tips on other sites, but most are not very frugal or glorify things like a wringer washer.

Debt free for the first time in my life !!!!!!!

Long ago I was a member at Frugal Moms -when that site closed , I joined a few frugal boards . . . some I stayed with, some I left. . . FV is just one of the tools, in my arsenal of weapons against spending unnecessary money.

In 2005 I did a search and saw many, but fv was the one that stood out. Great ideas on how to lower your budget to cooking, etc. Plus who can beat the friendships on here, or where can I find a group of people that when I have a question or need help finding something, that within 5 to 10 minutes I have allot of replies.
I have watched frugal videos on you tube, but its because I need to see someone doing something, like building a compost (lol) instead of reading how to do it. But the other sites are never going to be as great as this one. Sara and Gabe have so much to offer.
Could you imagine doing a frugal family reunion, there's not a state that I can think of that could hold this family.

I used to be very active on one board, but there was a few issues, members being snotty and ganging up on other members, it was supposed to be about frugal living BUT they seem to encourage shopping deals (there was hardly ever any new posts in the frugal living section, but always new deals found every 15 minutes!), I also felt ignored (and I used to be very active and "friends" with a lot of the members). I do visit there on occasion but it never seems to be "friendly" to outsiders (it became kinda "cliquey".
I have been on this forum for awhile (Lurk more than post), but it is more of my style!
