anyone watching tonight??? I AM!!!!!
i just read the review in my sunday paper by hank stuever. he said "it 's quite possible that we just wanted it all too badly, a desire most sequels struggle to fulfill. da went back into production on a wave of demands: make it richer, make it longer and give us more, more, more; now, now, now. writer and creator julian fellowes hastily came back with a lot more. but that's about all he's come back with. at 10 sumptuous hours in total length, da lacks surprise and is stretched precariously thin, a house full of fascinating people with not nearly enough to do, all caught in a loop of weak storylines that circle round but never fully propel.
in the first eight hours pbs provided all but the final two hour episode in time for this review, the characters endure the war with a lot of minor drama but little in the way of profound loss or personal change, even though the script keeps promising full-on disaster. the foreshadowing is often quite thick, but the follow-through is often next to nil. plots unfold clumsily and relationships are teased out past the point of believability. a few hours in, you'll become able to say a character's lines seconds before he or she says them."
"but now that i have the bad news out of the way, let's focus on the new da's strongest knack: beauty.
splashed across a high-def screen, the castle and grounds radiate a breathtaking prettiness. the clothes will leave you speechless. the look and feel of da must carry the day now, since the story doesn't really come along."
SAY IT AIN'T SO!!!!!!

I watched , too!!! I loved it!!! Who cares what the reviewers say??? Most movies I love (or books, or tv) have horrible reviews...I think the people that have this job pick the most ridiculous movies as "good" are idiots!!! Most of the ones they like are so obscure and hard to understand...or make NO sense at all...just look at the Oscars..(for the most part) most of the movies that win, I just don't get...
LOVED DA!!!!

I haven't watched it yet. Don't have a TV so have to wait till it's streaming on PBS.org.
Watched the first season I think this past summer--I hadn't even known about it until then. Saw the whole thing in like a wknd. The only thing currently on the ITV website is the Christmas episode that comes at the end of season 2 and I don't want to watch it out of order...
I disagree that critics are always wrong. I don't like implausible stuff. I'm afraid I may be disappointed and while I love beautiful scenery and costumes, that won't be enough to carry it for me if that's all it's got.

I just streamed it. Had to find some quiet time. I was happy so I think I'll ignore the reviewers on this one.
Yes it's the same one you guys have we are just behind. Series 2 just started running this month. They were upside at how well it took off over here.
It's not like other shows were they try to take a successful show and "Americanize it"Reba

i thought the season 2 first episode was terrific.
11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
credit card debt 7500
mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
then live on the rest!
i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.
