I live literally 3 mins from the store. So If I had to add gas it would be tallied on a monthly basis. Maybe 10 bucks a month extra.

I shop everyday, because I am a homebody who welcomes the break to get out of the house. It also satiates my desire to spend money, and it keeps my budget in check.

I find that id I only shop for a day or so at a time I actually save money because nothing goes to waste. I buy what we need and that is it. No more spoiled food because plans changed.

With my 50 dollar a week dinner budget I don't have extra money for my hubby to have lunch. So I cook for a family of 5 or 6 so dh can take them(leftovers) to work. So I almost never have left overs! =) I have to cook each day.

Just a curiosity question...........do you go at about the same time each day? do you eat first?

That is great the your dh will take the leftovers.........that can save
a bundle for lunches!!

I don't have a specific time other than I wait until my hubby get home. I like to go alone. =)

What ever works, it's different for everyone. If I went to the store everyday I would never stick to the budget, I'm weak.

Hey if it works for you --go for it! I go everyday just to get out and to exercise...walking around a store (no money in pockets) is more exciting then walking down the street.
