Default It's really working for me.

I've been shopping everyday with a budget of 10 bucks for meals. I've stayed on budget so far and I still get to go shopping everyday. =) I also got 100 dollars out in cash so I don't mess with my debit card.

I live literally 3 mins from the store. So If I had to add gas it would be tallied on a monthly basis. Maybe 10 bucks a month extra.

I shop everyday, because I am a homebody who welcomes the break to get out of the house. It also satiates my desire to spend money, and it keeps my budget in check.

If that's what works for you and makes you happy you go girl! I can see the reasoning behind it and understand it.
Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

Think it is nice that you found a "system" that works for you.
    If it works...........GO FOR IT!!

I don't think I would concentrate on using my leftovers if I shopped everyday...........and would be in real trouble if I went to the store hungry!!!

I second what she said! As long as you are sticking to a budget and it works for you I say go for it!

That's great. I wouldn't trust my own self in the store every day. I tend to be an impulse purchaser, and I'm never more weaker than at the grocery store. Great that you've managed to find a system that works. Kudos to you!

I was thinking this as well but here are the excuses I would come up with: its too cold, too hot, too windy, I don't have time right now, the bags are too heavy....

I like the idea but my food budget comes out to $3 a day so don't think it would work for me. I do much better with the Cook Alot Eat The Same Thing For Awhile methods.

I have considered doing that in order to HELP with leftovers. For example, if I have leftover chicken, cheese, and rice, I might need enchilada sauce to turn the leftovers into a casserole.

With my 50 dollar a week dinner budget I don't have extra money for my hubby to have lunch. So I cook for a family of 5 or 6 so dh can take them(leftovers) to work. So I almost never have left overs! =) I have to cook each day.
