My daughter needs a pen pal...
anyone have a child that would love a pen pal....she told me the other night that she would love to have a pen pal....she is 10 years old...if so let me know....I want her to take the time and be able to teach her appropriately how to write a letter....she has already learned this in school but practice practice makes it sink in a little further...

I don't have a child the same age but just wanted to tell you that this is a lovely idea. I had a pen pal from the age of 9 to when we both graduated form college. Sadly we lost touch with each other shortly after that. It was one of the best experiences and used to look forward to her letters. Good luck with finding one.

Ha...I have actually been tempted a few times to post a thread like this for me! lol
I was thinking more of an e-mail pen pal not for letter writing, but for more in depth 1 on 1 financial accountability. Would be nice to find someone in a similar situation to match up with!Right is right even if no one else is doing it. Wrong is wrong even if everyone else is doing it.

That is what I mean about saying someone with a similar situation. I think it would be difficult for someone such as me who is mid 40's without children and an income of approx. $70,000 a year to pen pal with a couple with 3 children and an income of $40,000 a year.
That is not to say that situation could not be compatible and that each party could not help and teach the other, it would just depend on the 2 people involved. I know for me it would be difficult because the budget struggles would be so different and chances are the snowball amounts would be so different too, which could be frustrating for some too.Right is right even if no one else is doing it. Wrong is wrong even if everyone else is doing it.
