I copied this from Teresa's Facebook page.

Hello all. Just a quick note to say that the surgery went well and I am resting as comfortably as possible. My hands and fingers don't work right yet, so typing is hard. My family is so grateful to you all with your cards, messages, and gifts of food. ******* and her daughter **** gifted us with so many delicious meals from Great Expectations-what a treat!

I'm still sleeping alot, but am feeling stronger already. These darn drainage tubes are a pain in the you know what!

I'll know which direction I am heading when we receive the pathology report next week.

Just writing this little bit wore me out, but I wanted to let everyone know what's going on. Soon I'll be back to my sassy self!

Hi all! And thank you Russ, for updating.

Finally got the pathology reports. I'll give the short version as I understand it.

The good news-lymph nodes are clean. The bad-they discovered 3 more tumors after examining the breast after surgery. 2 were very small, but one was large, and all invasive.

That large tumor is the one that has caused all sorts of problems.

The Dr. said to be prepared for the oncologist to (probably) recommend chemo along with the Tamoxifin, and there may be more tests before that visit (perhaps bone scans, MRI, etc.) They need to know where else the cancer has started before prescribing treatment.

Those 3 tumors never showed up on any mammogram. They just can't catch everything, unfortunately.

I have 2 appointments soon: Feb. 2 and Feb. 6, so I'll know more definitely what's happening soon.
