    Default I hate shopping...

I hate any type of shopping but, I really hate it now that our stupid state gov't made it to where the stores don't have to price stuff individually!!! grrrrrrrrr

Went grocery shopping picked up a tub of margarine, tab sign on cooler said $2.89...ok, I have a $1.00 coupon so that'd make it $1.89...I can live with that.

Was busy putting stuff on belt when margarine went through, got out to the car checked my slip (a habit I have) and the margarine rung up at $6.19!!!!!, for a tub of margarine....go back in the store, get my $6.19 back.

It seems like very single time something rings up wrong...what a PITA!!!

now seei wouldnt trust the price on things with price tags on them because people were always switching them in the past i am just real careful about knowing my prices and if something is in front of a sign that says wow thats a deal i assume it mnay be placed in the wrong place and i check the tag to make sure it matches or if its retail store instead of a grocery i find a scanner or have it scanned

I hate shopping just because I hate it. I haven't paid super attention but I don't remember ever having something ring up incorrectly.

PS--that is really expensive for margerine. I think the shelf tag was right and the scanned price was wrong. Just doesn't make sense.

Bunnys: Depending on tye brand of margarine, a 3 lb. tub at our store IS $7.18. I try to pay very close attention to each item that rings up because I catch price errors on a regular basis at Wal Mart, the local grocer and especially at KMart.

...and yes, I too hate shopping.

I hate shopping too........but our stuff hasn't had indiv. prices on it for years.....................so you kind of get used to it and can remember the numbers when checking out.

I have caught errors too............you have to watch........esp. the sale items. And..........the public that will pick something up........and put it down in another area.......so I check the tags on shelf too............for brand/ounces and $.

I always verify the tag matches the product, and then run the calculations in my head to find the best value. It can take a bit of time, but I don't generally mind.

That sounds right for margarine out here also. They even go higher. If I had saw that tag I'd have thought they put the wrong tub of margarine in that slot. It will take some getting used to. You'll learn how to match up bar codes soon. Hopefully your stores will provide a price check scanner for products you are unsure of.

I'm notorious for hiding away with a price checker at Walmart, checking every single item I don't purchase regulalry and wouldn't knwo the price on....seems register errors are always in the STORES favor.

I never pay more than $2.50 for a tub of margarine and that's for a 48oz tub. I couldn't imagine paying more than that...but, I know that prices for everything have been and are still on the rise.

Guess we will be switching to stick margarine & just keeping it in the cupboard...I can get stick margarine 2, 1 pound pkgs. for a buck when they are on sale and for .89 cents a pound when it's not.

Seriously? I can't believe prices are that low anywhere. Really? 2/$1 for stick margarine and 55 cents for cinnabon oatmeal? Even $3.99 seems a bit low for this area, but 55 cents, well you could not even buy it at salvage prices for 55 cents.

I hate shopping too! It started in childhood when my mom and sis would drag me to the malls. They would browse while I tried my best to get lost in the clothing racks.

Wifey gets my debit card when it's grocery time as I will rarely set foot in the store. The internet has been a blessing for someone like me whenever I need to buy something.

Check your store's policy. I know some stores will give you the item free if it rings up a different price then what the shelf tag says.

Butter and cheese have gone sky high here. A 24 slice pack of Kraft cheese is over 5.00 now.
