    I oppose piracy.

I work in computers daily. I make my living on intellectual property.

This bill is not going to stop piracy, and the potential power it gives COMPANIES is way overblown.

    I oppose this bill.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Wikipedia is for sure blacking out tomorrow (the 18th).

English Wikipedia anti-SOPA blackout - Wikimedia Foundation

I've heard rumors that Google and Facebook were going to join in. This is total blackout. Not just a few words here and there. If Google and Facebook join in, you can probably still get to other sites via bookmarks but searches and status updates will be impossible through them.

Gmail, and every other Google product will be blacked out or down for a day, if they are also joining in.

I oppose these bills. They will not effectively prevent piracy and the potential for abuse is frightening.

We are going to bring awareness to the issue at stake.

-We will be blacking out some words.
    (censoring)

And linking to more information for people to read.

Good. The more people that are aware of this, the better.

considering several businesses including the home care company i work for use gmail for their android products for syncing calendars and other work info - turning themselves off for a day to do a black out could really cause damages that could end up disastrously.

China censors the Internet and our government protests their violation of human rights...what hypocrites.
