    Default Pot Pies!

Dough and pans ready for 15 chicken pot pies! I hope I don't need to get more dough and pans ready. Beef in tiny cubes stewing in the crockpot all day. Tomorrow beef pot pies! I know why the women in my family gathered together for this chore. Kind of lonely doing it all alone.

    Anyone else do this?

I tend to make pot pies one at a time when I have leftovers meat.

lol...we just had homemade chicken pot pie this evening. I prepare the gravy, veggies & chicken in a pot on the stove, then pour it into a 13 X 9 pie crust ,then top it w/ another pie crust. bake it for 55 minutes at 350.

Been trying to occupy my time, thought pot pies would occupy it. But I've discovered why the women of my family did the work together. A) It's a lot of work by yourself and B) It's lonely work by yourself. Really lonely.

Many Houseapes! That's the kind of pies I made with my first MIL and GMIL! What fun we had.

I would love to have your recipe. I have never made pot pie. I am a little nervous because it sounds difficult to do!

Well Miss Polly, if you lived down here near me we could get together and make pot pies. Like imagine, it is one at a time for me.

Wish that I had someone around here to do things like that with. Sounds very yummy.

My MIL used to buy the biscuits in a can & line the bottom of a cake pan w/them....then she'd pour the gravy/chicken/veggies over them...then sh'ed place another layer of biscuits on the top & bake.

You know, my Grandmother loved all the new inventions. Things like real washers (she grew up with a washboard), real roads (All her roads were dirt), indoor plumbing (she still had an out house when my mother was growing up), etc., etc. I can imagine she'd like your recipe very much. SIMPLICITY
