Hello new here.
My name is Rachel..
How did you hear about frugal village?
From Pinterest of all things. I was looking up a recipe for homemade body wash and this is where the pin led me.
What interests you here?
As my kids have been getting older I have become more interested in showing them that just because you can buy is doesn't mean it is better. I have been making my own laundry detergent for 3 years now and I want to learn to make more!
What will you contribute?
I will contribute all I can. I have been a Air Force spouse for 13 years and I know several overseas areas. And my DH is being discharged (possibly) in the next few months (I hope it is that long!) so I where I could use help with information on the crud that goes along with it, I will be in a position to help others.
Do you know any other members here?
How many kids? Ages?
Kids I got those too.. 3 boys 13, 11, 11 and one angel in heaven, he would be 8 in March.
Tell us about yourself.
I have been a sahm for the last 13 1/2 years. I love being at home for my kids, but at this point I want to start finding something to do outside of the home. I have been doing bits of volunteer work to get some experience to look for work. I love to make things for my home and I craft heavily..
And right now we live in Germany. I love it here, but chances are we are going to have to move back to the states soon.
Do you own any pets?
One dog.. Jordan
Occupation?
SAHM... need I say more?
Married or single?
Married for just over 14 years now.. I love my Hubby
Interests and hobbies?
All sorts! My family does medieval recreation, so I sew a lot! I also knit, quilt (although I am just learning), and paper craft, but I don't stamp! I work on making our cleaning and beauty supplies at home (beauty for me, smell good for my smelly males). I hate cleaning, but it does happen! And I also serve as tutor for my boys, as long as I know how to do what they are doing.
I also LOVE tea! I drink it too many times a day!
That is pretty much it. I love to travel, and I want to live frugally to help save for the things I love to do.

Aloha and welcome from Hawaii!!
Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.
