I don't remember ever having any funny ideas about money. I always had a bank account and can remember giving my money to my dad to drop it off at the bank and then checking the balance in my passbook when he'd get home. So, I don't think I ever had the confusion that a lot of kids have about the bank being an unlimited source of money.

We also had to make budget proposals to justify our allowance. I remember talking about speculative investments with my father when i was nine (after the silver crash). My father discussed money management and investing with me as far back as I can remember, although we never discussed his actual salary, that was private.
