since last here alot of potential things came and went alot of companies wanted dh to open an office in our area for their companies but couldnt so it for a few months ,
but dh got a job offer last night and took it - a little less $ then planned but closer to home which will save money and better benes- and for a large company thats stable .
just have to wait until his criminal background ck comes thru which can take 2 weeks so we may well have no check from this job until 2/24- so will be missing a paycheck this coming month , But better than no job so we will figure it out somehow - i have been putting in about 8 hrs of PTO time each week to add to my pay and my work has been pretty good about offering me extra cases that comes up in my area when the reg nurse isoff and they need coverage .
i may or may not look for more work - this has scared me into wanting to pay off debt faster but i also dont want to make myself sick -we have a break coming up after may when we go back to just 1 high school tuition instead of the 2 we pay now .which will free up money and the more i work the less time i have to do other things that save and i would rather save our after tax income than create more taxable income if i can do it.
thanks for all your prayers
still hoping 23 yo will find a job - there are quite a few jobs headhunters are calling about that are out of state and would require relocation which would = rent etc and make it harder for him to pay off student loans quickly .*~Debbi~*

update
friday Ds was offered a job with a major company in center city philly ( great area for young guy with social things in area after work etc ) and at a higher pay !!
in the end as soon as we get on a new budget and caught up from the missing pay check mid month they both will actually be in a much better place with a bigger more stable company with better benefits too.
my work is picking up and they asked me to take on a special program that will hopefully = a little extra work and giving a presentation once a month at a sr apt building which would look good on a resume if i ever need to look but for now i am happily staying put .*~Debbi~*

That is great! I am a home health nurse also but I work with children with special needs. So I understand the love of the job
One thing I heard about is there was a lady around here who was a speech therapist. Her kids went to a private school and she traded speech therapy for the kids at the school for tuition for her kids to attend the school. Not sure if your school had something where you can volunteer for tuition but its a thought
