    Talking Wow! That was quick!

Checked our checking acct. online to verify what's went through and our state income tax refund has already been deposited into our account !!!! I'm in shock...just filed on Jan. 17th and wasn't expecting it until at least February 7th.

I got an IRS chart showing the pay schedule and that is what it showed for your return to direct deposit, based on when you filed. That is good to know since the chart shows mine should land 2/1, as I filed on 1/24.

The IRS chart is for federal...we don't have that one yet. The info I put in showed Feb. 7th for federal . Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll be in this coming Tuesday.

    ~Nice! That's awesome!
We don't even get our W-2's until the first week of February. This year we got a letter stating an error in a bonus payment so we had to send for an amended W-2. It stinks because I'm completely ready to file. I've never been this organized this early before. Figures!~

Ahhh....I missed the State part of your OP. I never think of that since we do not have State income tax here in WA.

    Hurray for you!!!!
Hearing good news like this makes me want to get my stuff together and my butt in gear. Am still receiving my W2s and have a few years of back taxes to file, so it's going to be a doozy, but have to keep looking on the bright side (i.e. actually having it done and off my chest.)

I'm thinking of filing online. I was just looking on the IRS website and it looks like their links send you other companies where you can file online for free. But I'm a bit wary of using other companies. I just have simple a 1040ez form this year.

    Any efile suggestions?

I'm getting $500+ back this year, being a W2 employee. Much nicer than last year when I had 1099 forms and had to pay a bunch!

That money is headed for the savings acct, oh yeah.

If you get to the other company via the IRS website you will be fine. I filed that way for years and never had a problem.
