Anybody Else Order Eyeglasses Online?
I did, and they arrived today! I paid $25 for two pairs and that included shipping. They work, too! I posted some pictures of me in the frames on my blog ... My Simple Life: New Glasses!

My Dad orders them for my Mom all the time off of 39dollarglasses or some such, I don't know the exact website. He recently ordered me a pair of Rx sunglasses from there, along with 2 pair of eyeglasses for Mom. It was less than 50 bucks, including shipping for all three pair. The only caveat is that it takes a long time for shipping. For instance, he ordered them two weeks ago, they just shipped out of CA today, will be here in Va by middle of next week. But it is a huge savings over the optical shops, and even WM vision center.

I've heard that it can take awhile for them to arrive. I just checked the date I ordered them and it was on Jan. 19th, so a little over a week? Not bad!
Isn't it crazy how much you can spend in an optical store? The last pair of glasses I bought was over $400 (they were progressive lenses) and I hated them. Never got used to them, and they didn't look very good on me, either.
This is the way to go!

My husband is wearing a pair of glasses from zennioptical.com and he is very happy with them. He has a complicated prescription, but these worked out great.

I get mine from zenni optical too. They have some nice contemporary frames. Love mine (#499421). I'm on my second pair of the same frame. I've never had a frame I wanted to keep with my new prescription. Buying online with high index lenses was even cheaper than buying locally with my insurance. I'm hoping they'll continue to carry this frame when I need my next prescription change!

Just purchased
Since Zennioptical is so highly recommended, I just purchased two pairs for $53! I was prepared to spend about $300 for only one pair, so I'm really excited to see if the savings are worth it.

How much we enjoy what we have is more important than how much we have. Life is full of people who have more than they know what to do with, but cannot be content. It is the capacity to enjoy life that brings contentment.---Unknown

I have several pairs from zenni. I am happy with the $6-12 ones. I'm wearing a pair right now.
I just ordered a pair for my bf from 39dollarglasses. (He didn't like any at zenni.) If you order from 39dollar....look for a coupon code online. Also, if you Like them on FB they will give you a $15 off coupon code. Bf's ended up $30 shipped.
The office manager where I work used to work for an optometrist when she was in college. When I got my zenni glasses I brought them in for her to see and she said they looked great. She said that she could get employee price on frames of a few dollars per frame. Glasses are hugely marked up in retail price, as most of us know.

When I was looking for reviews for zenni online I found a nice story: one gal got some zenni glasses and took them to her eye doctor to get them checked out. The eye doctor was impressed and asked where she got them for so cheap.
He wanted to know the website because he had elderly patients who couldn't afford new glasses and he wanted to order from zenni for some of those patients. Very kind.

I was wondering how you get them fitted to you? Usually when we (ds and I) get glasses they have to be fitted. I am seriously thinking about ordering a pair or two for ds cause he is always breaking his and would love to do it this way. Thank you

They say that if you already have a pair of glasses you like and fit you well, to look on the inner side of one of the "arms" for numbers that give the measurements of your glasses. I'm probably not explaining it right, but here is the link that gives suggestions on how to fit them.
