Default Tell me about your purse -- brand, material, size, etc.

So, tell me what kind of purse you're carrying these days.

Right now, mine is somewhat similar to this one in black.

It's smooth leather, not pebbled, but it's the 'wallet on a string' style that I can wear cross-body. I keep some cash, credit cards, license, etc. in the slotted wallet section; there's another section where I keep a pen, some hankies, keys, etc. Very small and lightweight.

I bought mine on ebay -- 8 or 9 years ago, for $14, I think. It isn't the only purse I've used in that time, but it's my favorite right now.

Kmart variety, denim, long shoulder strap, two large pockets side by side, a small pocket and 2 little pockets on the sides for phone, keys, etc. very utilitarian.

So far it has lasted longer than my lovely eggplant purple purse from Kohl's last year and that makes me happy.

Handbags are my little splurge. They are really the only thing I spend money on. I have a black Versace bag right now. My husband bought it for me on a trip we took after we got engaged. He paid $2600 on sale. It is my favorite bag. I adore it. I wish I liked the cheap Coach or Dooney bags but I tend to like pricier bags.

    Love handbags!

I have a $20 purse from Walmart that I love! Its a smaller shopper style bag in grey leatherlike material. I've been looking for the perfect purse for about 3 years now. The style I wanted always came in a bigger style or they wanted $300 for it and no wary I'm going to pay that much! So I was soooo happy when I found it at Walmart and for only $20!!

At this moment I have a wonderful bag. It's about 12"X6", perfect depth. I never lose anything in it. I've never had a bag I've loved more in my life. It was a gift from a really sweet person.

I have 2 travel bags, or I'm going into the city bags, or shopping where I'm concerned about getting mugged, or pick pocketed. Both are cross over body bags and fit nicely under my coat. One I bought years, and I mean like 10+ years ago, and one my Mom bought me on a clearance rack for a couple of dollars. Here's the brand my Mom bought me, and yes you really can stuff it with all that stuff and more.

Other than that I have 2 fancy clutches that I've wrapped up and stored away. They are classic, never go out of style types to carrying for dressy events.

    This is my previous purse:

This is similar to what I have now:
    [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Buxton-Womens-Coin-Card-Black/dp/B000XVYQAG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1327733884&sr=8-2"]Amazon.com: Buxton Womens ID Coin/Card Case: Clothing@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31N8lYmhMLL.@@AMEPARAM@@31N8lYmhMLL[/ame]

Except my "new" one came from a thrift store for 25Ē. And, it has a money clip on the outside. I wasn't for sure how well I would like the money clip thing, but I am loving it. It also doesn't have a window and it only has one pocket on the outside for the cards. I always pull out the cards anyway, so the window didn't really do me any good.

Actually, I am liking the money clip thing so well that I am considering buying one for when this purse dies. My next ones in the line up don't have the money clip. They were also from the thrift store and were 25Ē each. Well, actually, some were only 10Ē.

In a way, I am sort of bummed because my new purse is black. I always carry brown ones. I have a real major thing about brown purses. I totally had a "Tightwad Gazette" moment and decided that a brown one wasn't worth the extra money ($10+) when I could get this black one for so much less (25Ē).

    11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings

i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

After years of carrying wallets-only, I'm on purse number 2. A retired print Vera Bradley, I got 50% off (quilted cotton? i think. greens, blues and purples with a little aqua - paisley). It's an over the shoulder, medium zip top bag with three pockets on each inside side. I keep all sorts of things in there: first aid kit, coupon file, wallet, lip gloss, tissues, lighter, granola bar, gum, random pens, a sharpie, small calculator, hand sanitizer (I swear I could live out of my purse for a couple days!)

I'm so glad I'm not the only one... I know this is the "Frugal Village" but handbags are my splurge, too. I had a black Balenciaga city last year, but had to sell it in my "frugal" quest. I now use a black Michael Kors double strap.

Red, smallish, with 2 magnetic-closing pockets outside for phone and keys. Also a zippered outside pocket on the other side for glasses, shopping lists, kleenex, etc.. The center is not deep enough to lose anything. Under $20 from Walmart.

I am very picky about purses. They have to hit. Low hip and can be worn crossbody if I wish and it must organize my stuff

The one I have is brown leather like material the flap open to two large pokets. One has my wallet. The other has a make up bag with my Epi pen and allergy medicine it also has my coupon folder and a pocket calander and pen
There are two small zippered pockets one holds feminine hygiene products the otherzipper pocket holds travel size handsanatizer and travel size potion. There is also a small zipper pocket on the outside where I keep gum I have have a pack.

The brand is Relic and I bought it at the Goodwill over a year ago for $1.99
