The rack clearance (like on coats) started Fri. and i was in Thurs. Some was set out though. It was 50%.

The garden center (not part of the red balloon promo)had christmas 75%off,some other stuff 75%off,some 50% and some just a couple bucks off.

Outside they had a toy section w/ ballons but that doesn't interest me right now so i didn't looks. No kids to buy for.

Our walmart stinks at clearance pricing. They have items that have dust on them that are for just a few dollars cheaper than what the original price was. I think it depends on the area, if I go to the Walmart that is by my work, they usually have $1 and $3 clearance clothing racks and I have not seen prices that low at the "closer" to me Walmart. Of course the "closer" Walmart was dirt cheap when they came in to drive out the Kmart and Hills in the area once that happened their prices went up and the quality started to lag. At least this is my "closer" Walmart- not sure how other walmarts are in comparision.

I am not enticed at all with that store anymore! I agree with frugalwarrior 2, their dog and cat food being one of my only reasons to go their anymore! I hate to even buy groceries there as well anymore (too many items that I thought were good ending up being bad!).

I shop at Meijers also. The only Christmas stuff left were a bunch of red tubs for 8.00 a piece. They must pack that stuff up for next year.

Horrible thing is, the stuff that doesn't sell they throw out. At Dollar General as soon as they mark holiday items at .10 each, I generally buy all of it to garage sale.

I believe the throw it out could be a regional thing. Here it is donated to charities or bought by salvage stores. Not sure about dollar general do not have one here that I know of

I was at Dollar General today & the ten cent Christmas stuff is just about gone. They had boxes of mini candy canes for a dime, I got 2 boxes of Christmas cards for a dime each...that was about all they had left.

After Halloween the last 2 years I've purchased giant bags of tootsie pops for $1.00 & a bag lasts forever. Cheap treat!
