more of the story on our move....

back in July, hubby started having another company chase him to come work for them (nice problem to have in a bad economy, I know, we are VERY blessed!). We really put it aside and didn't put much thought to it.... but they kept after him. It wasn't for more money, just a bigger company, with more potentional for promotions, etc. He kept saying no.
Then in Oct/Nov, came the SHOCKING news that his family was selling their 3-generation farming operation in CA to move to Idaho.... they had had enough of CA and wanted out... well, duh!!!!!

So, the next time company 2 came after him, they talked about a relocation opportunity, hubby figured if his family was all gone, and I didn't want to be here either, what was the purpose for staying!! **yippee!!!**
SO.... Jan 1st came, and we decided to jump companies. But we had to wait for a great big commission check for money earned in 2011.
Well, it finally came 2 weeks ago. He met with his boss the next day to give his notice... but the conversation went this way instead (before he could even get started)..
"We (the company) really like what you (DH) are doing. You are a great asset to the company, and we feel you would do a great job expanding our market to the midwest.. (this is the part where I started to get REALLY excited!

) We would like you to finish your season here in CA, and then transition to the midwest... you may live anywhere in IOWA (!!!!!!!!!), IL, IN, MN, OR WI. " Now, all of those are lovely places, but only one has been calling our name ever since we left.... WE CANNOT WAIT!!! Anyway, it'll be the same money, just different geopgraphy, and a cheaper cost of living to boot.

SOOOO, we have lots to do, and our house may have just sold about 4 months earlier than we were expecting.... (see other thread!)..
