Totally agree with madhen - show the whole picture vs just one appetizer/snack/entree etc. Makes it seem less scary.

I'd want to see how to serve up a balanced meal (protein, carbs etc)

How to use, in which recipe and where to buy those odd sounding ingredients, you know...the ones you can't pronounce?

Lastly - along with samples of the food cooked for the demo, possible print out/hand out of either where to buy the specialty ingredients locally and/or a simple recipe or two so people can try them out at home and break their way into the vegan world

I am not a vegetarian/vegan, but I do like to cook meatless meals regularly. What would help me is some guidance on what foods sound like they are vegetarian/vegan but are not - for those times when I am cooking for people who are v/v. I don't mind if something has chicken broth instead of veggie broth, but I know that is not acceptable esp for those who are v/v because of religious/ethical reasons. So perhaps a checklist of what to watch for would be helpful.

More great ideas! Thanks so much! this has been extremely helpful.

I know for sure that she will have samples, will hand out recipes, and do a few recipe demonstrations.

    Thanks again!
