Any way to make someone invisible?
I'm grateful for the ignore feature on this forum, first of all. But I'm wondering if there is any way to make someone invisible. I would like to be able to set my preferences so I don't even have to see someone's name ever again on my screen.
I do use the feature to ignore entire threads, for which I'm also grateful.
Thanks for any info.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I'm sorry, but I don't believe there is a way to do that.

Is this what you need? Frugal Village Forums - FAQ: General Forum Usage
It says would not see their posts. Sounds more specific than just ignoring a thread. Can I block posts, emails and messages from specific users?
If there are particular members that bother you and you do not want to see their posts or receive Private Messages and Emails from them, then you can add these members to your 'Ignore List'. There are several ways to do this:
Through your User Control Panel: User CP, Settings & Options, Edit Ignore List. Then, type their name into the empty text box and click 'Okay'.
Granted, if its me you are ignoring you wont see my helpful answer, *grin*.LDR

Well I just added someone and I see it doesn't make them invisible. It only hides whatever they post. Sorry.

Even if that person is on the ignore list, the persons name will show in the thread, but it won't show what they have posted.
It will simply say: "Russ is being ignored. Click here to view their post" or something to that effect.Russ

I would never ignore you, Krbs! Thanks for looking up the info. I already have the person on my ignore list.
Thanks, Russ and Sara. I do have this person on my ignore list but would prefer a complete disappearing act. It's probably not possible, but I can step up my use of the thread-ignore feature.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

If you want to make someone "invisible" IRL, just contact any one of my stepkids. They have been trying to pretend I don't exist for the past 26+ years!
