Flowbee or Robocut?
Has anyone tried the Flowbee or Robocut to save on hair cuts? I was watching some tutorials on Youtube with good results. I thought it would be great for the kids. Has anyone tried this on long hair?

I had a Flowbee. I did my husbands hair once and it turned out okay but the part that you hold and cut with got very heavy after a while. Then I used it on the long haired dog, poor thing was so uneven she looked like a lamb with curly hair at at distance. I ended up selling it at a yard sale to a lady that was going to use it for her dogs.

I just looked the CreaClip up on amazon, I had never heard of it before, Thanks! This would come in handy for cutting my daughters bangs. I'm going to check and see if there are any on eBay.Goals

I'm a barber with 18 years of experience and I am excited about buying a crea-clip! I cut mens and womens hair, but have never received a good haircut myself. I've always been frustrated that I cannot cut the back of my own hair. I bet I can with this!
To easily cut a boys haircut get different length clipper comb attachments. Determine how long you want the longest part of the hair and start with that comb. Cut all over the head making several passes. For a tapered hair cut you will use 3 different comb lengths. Use your medium length comb from the bottom up to the a line that corresponds with the bottom of the temples(imagine a level line going around the head). To blend, arch the clipper smoothly off of the head. For a very short haircut to blend...use the clipper firmly working at an angle rather than just up and down. For the shortest comb start at the bottom and work to the base of the skull and for about a 1/2 around the ears. Dampen the 'bangs' area and comb forward. Cut straight across.

I was going to suggest the CreaClip but someone already did. THis is a great thing to have. I learned many years ago to cut my own hair before I found this. I use it when my long layers need to be cut shorter. But otherwise I trim my hair with scissors. I cut my husbands and grandsons hair also. Saves tons of money.
If you want to free hand the hair cutting just watch lots of different hair cutting videos, it is easy to do.Maggi
