Me either! I could feed my family for quite sometime on the amount of meat they used to build that. I didn't catch for how many that was supposed to feed (trouble with my volume), but I didn't see a lot of people.

Using our local grocery ads for this week, I came up with $212 for the meat listed on the video, plus the cheese and eggs. There was other stuff in there of course, and non-food items like the trays and foil, but I didn't figure that in. I didn't find baby back ribs on sale, just regular, so those would be more expensive but I used the $4/lb. price in the ad just to (dare I say it?) ball-park a cost.

If that was an ad for Char-Broil, that would be an inexpensive way to get an ad, since people will talk about the meat stadium and then the video will get plenty of hits.

Was very impressed with the flipping of the huge patties!!! Really did not seem like there was a lot of wiggle room when flipping!!! I have enough trouble with pancakes.

My luck, the meat would have broken in two when I flipped it, the cheese would have run down into the burner and gone up in flames, and I'd have ended up having to feed the whole meat stadium to the firefighters when they came to put out the fire before the game even started.

*snort* Pretty sure I don't have the flipping skills either.

I think I'll stick with cold cuts. Thinking about it, it could be done "frugally" if you roasted your own ham, pork roast, beef roast, chicken breast, turkey breast. Buy the pieces on sale and freeze till ready. Just brine, season, cook in a oven bag, let sit overnight in fridge, and slice with a deli slicer.

If you bake your own bread, you could make your own rolls. Any shape you wanted to too. You could bake in shapes like the stadium seats corrals, then scoop out the insides and fill with mayo, mustard, pickles, onion slices, etc.

Or you could forget the cold cuts all together and make egg salad, or "mock" chicken salad, or even some chickpea salad like tuna salad for vegetarians to fill up up bread bowl seats.

Hmmm...Someday I'll have to do this. If I do, I promise I'll post a picture.

I want to spend Super Bowl Sunday at your house! Love the bread bowl/seat idea.
