Default Price of gas in your area?

we are in NC and our current price is $3.59 and rising. oil is not even $100 a barrel, it's ridiculous!! how much is gas in your area?

I can't wait for hurricane season this year, that will surely give them an excuse to raise the price above $5 a gallon

3.44/gallon here. Remember though, prices are different in different states due to the taxes each state charges.

    $3.29 here

I too heard $5 but I heard by memorial day. Prices always go up in the summer due to demand.

The $5 is also an average Where I live we tend to be under the national average maybe due to lower taxes on gasoline then other states.

$3.49 but, if I wanted to drive in town I could get it for a nickel cheaper.

We are in the 'burbs about 15 miles outside Boston

The "cash discount" at the cheapest station was 3.13 about 3 weeks ago.

Tuesday on the way to school it was 3.43, on the way back that afternoon it was 3.45.

I didn't look yesterday and didn't go this morning. I will check on the way back today.

ETA: The closest station to the house is a Mobil/Exxon and the economy is 3.86
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

yeah, tell me about it. NC gas tax recently went up. I think there are only about 5 or 6 states that have gas more expensive than us. we are getting taxed to death!
