Now that the powerbal lottery is expected to be around 280 MILLION dollars I have been dreaming of what I would do with the 140 or so I would get.

DH and I figured that would be around 3million just in interest a year!!!

I figure we wouls still be frugal, but with the "good" stuff. Like we are planning on building a house, we still would but, I will get the cedar shake roof I want right away not save up for it while the asphalt one is getting old. Stuff like that and probly a little bigger cuz then I would have and office and a sewing room not an office/sewing room.

And give lots and lots away. To places that use the money wisely.

And set up college accts. for some relatives instead of just giving $ cuz we know they will blow it and that would burn me.

Have you thought on the subject?

PS. Lottery tickets are in our spending plan under entertainment. We skipped the Fri. movie to get a few more tickets

I would buy an old Victorian here in town and fix it up. I would also buy at least one new vehicle. Hmmm, what else.... I would definatly travel.

I would set up some college funds for relatives. I would pay off my mil's house and my mom's house. I'm not sure if I would just hand them over some money because they would just blow it and want more. kwim

I would pay my dads health insurance for the next few years so he could retire early. The only reason he is still working at this point is because he is too frugal to give up his free health insurance.

I would give a lot to charity as well.

Hmm, maybe I should buy a ticket.

I would buy a bigger,older house.With about 25 acres,a barn,and dh a huge workshop

I would put money away for my kids.Not only for schooling but for when they start their own family.

Pay off ALL credit card debt and cut them suckers to shreads!!

Help out family,but do it wisely.They would blow the money and..that would burn my butt lol

Donate to a few charities.

Help out a friend of mine who's a divorced single mom.

Give money to the school for children who want to play sports or join the band but can't afford to.

GO TO DISNEY WORLD!!!

Now I need some tickets to increase my chances of winning

that reminds me i got to get a power ball ticket..i only play 1 dollar when its high,,but hay if its ment to be it will happen with 1 dollar

I might have to buy a ticket. Remember all of us little people when you win. LOL.
I don't play very often, the first time i played powerball i won 15 $ you would have thought i hit the jackpot, i am SO SO SAD

I buy a ticket when it gets high like this. What would I do with it? Pay off all our debts, set up allotments for our moms and sisters, set up trust funds for the kidd-os to be doled out at certain ages, then we would "not tell a single soul"! We both come from families with, um, less savory folks, who would be hitting us up for money in a heartbeat. DH wants to set up an endowment for intelligence analysts and I would set up a scholarship fund for teachers.

Usually I buy a ticket win it gets this big, but I am not fighting anymore crowds. I would have such a hard time deciding where to live if I could live anywhere in the country. I would take care of my close family and friends, but I would not tell anyone else, because they would just all want the money. I think I would move to the east coast and open a bed and breakfast.

Lets see.
I would pay off my home and buy the lots surrounding it (I would get about 6 acres, and give 1 each to the boys )
Then I would build a "real" house in the middle of the 4 acres, and remove the mobilehome to one of the boys, probably the oldests.
I would pay off the outstanding loan for our school district so the taxes can go back down.
Set up a college fund for my niece in Illinois.
Not sure what else. Probably buy dh a new truck, not brand new those lose money but one that is a year or 2 old.
