Dog Attack
So I was out walking my dog this morning. I walked by a house and there were two dogs in a yard the one dog jumped the fence and attacked me. I picked up my small dog in my arms and the really big dog bite my upper right arm. Then it came at me again and grabbed my sweater and pulled it off my arm. This real nice lady saw and gave me a ride home. So I spent the day at the hospital. The dog is under quarantine in there house for ten days and the bylaw officer will be putting in a request for the dog to be muzzled and tied up at all time. I have not been that scared in a long time. All I could think was that if it had gotten a hold of my 12 pound dog he would have been ripped to pieces which is why I picked him up. I said to my mom that my workers are always telling me to get out of the house and be part of the world. I hadn't taken my dog for a walk in a long time. I really would like someone to take back Murphy because his laws suck!

I'm sorry to hear about this. I hope recovery is quick for you.
Buy a can of pepper spray (bear spray) and carry it with you, ready to fire. Practice with it so you're comfortable using it. One blast in the face one time and any dog will run screaming for the hills whenever it sees you coming.
This should never have happened.
Glad your doggy is okay.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hugs Rhiamon, Thank God you & your dog are ok. I agree, that never should have happened. People need to make sure their dogs are contained. I hope this doesn't discourage you from getting out in the world more!

That is why i am here...

That's horrible! People need to be more responsible for their dogs, and held accountable when things like this happen.

This makes me so angry at the owners - did they talk to you? How scary!! Are they covering your medical costs?
So glad that you saved your dog. Please let us know how you are healing.Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

I am Soooo sorry this happened to you!!!!!!! I love dogs, but this really ticks me off people who don't keep their dogs on a leash and contained like they are supposed to. I am soo glad that dog didn't get ahold of yours.

i am so sorry that this happened to you. have you talked with the owners? please don't let this stop you from going out. take a cane or a walking stick when you walk. you could always defend yourself against an attack.

Rhiamon, I am hoping that you are feeling ok enough. I just know that you are sore as all "get outs." I agree that the owners need to take care of your medical expenses.
Take care of yourself. I am glad that your doggie is ok. You are a very good pet mom in taking the "hit" for your little one. From now on, take a big wooden bat with you.
