Productive weekend
I had a busy weekend. While dh was fixing the brakes on the car I made 17 pints of chicken broth for noodle soup or chicken rice. I made 7 bags of home made noodles for the freezer. A lemon pie, did all the housework and laundry. Blueberry pancakes yesterday for breakfast and blueberry waffles this morning.Dh made a grilled roast for supper tonight with rice, mixed veggies and home made cloverleaf rolls.. All in all a good weekend. I attached a pic of a few of the jars. I need to make some sandwich buns tomorrow

No not my cat but sure likes like her. Although given half a chance she will put her paw in my coffee to drink it lol. I always like to have something hot for DH's lunch when it's cold. So I make extra when I make soup. I also have 14 pints of chili, 14 pints of tomato and I froze 7 quarts of ham and bean soup. When the garden comes on I'll have a bunch more. I see the local store has strawberries bogo. Might get some to make jelly. I have a bunch of raspberry juice froze I can make jelly out of too. DH is a jelly junkie!! I swear he'd put it on a rock if I'd let him

My parents had a grape arbor & Mom would do the juice in the summer, freeze it & make her jelly in the winter. Strawberry jam sounds delish. What a wonderful skill to have....

Dinner was Sunday night lol. Leftovers on Monday night. I'd like to find some different kind of soup to can but I haven't found anything that sounds good and would can good. I tried making beef broth for beef noodle soup but beef broth is one thing I can't seem to make.
