We're in northern Minnesota. Hockey rules. You should have seen the mess here a few years ago when the parents of the players decided they didn't like how the high school coach was coaching. The coach and his family were getting death threats and all kinds of ugliness. It was horrible and embarrassing. I agree, people are losing it. Not only that, but it seems like they don't have a grasp of what's truly important, and their priorities are all messed up.

I think they are both wrong. You don't lock a child out and you don't go for revenge.

They're lawyers. Why didn't they just sue?

I agree the kid shouldn't have been locked out, but the offense isn't worth significant jail time and a drug conviction on someone's record. Besides, it was over two years ago. How about getting over it and moving on? How does it help the kid to keep dwelling on the incident?

What bothered me was the video of the kids tormenting the elderly bus monitor.

While I agree it is very sad that kids can be so mean, what is just as sad to me, is that this new crop of kids growing up is so STUPID they can not see the repercussions of them putting their video online (yes, the perpetrators posted it themselves.) They can't think beyond "oh my friends will see it, cool" -- these kids will grow up and put their bank-robbing videos on YouTube and then be surprised when the cops come knocking....

haven't saw the vid of the bus thing but if something like that happened with my bus driver (oh it happened to the monitor)- people would be picking their kids up from the side of the road where the bus driver stopped. I've been on the bus and had it stop so two guys could fight, and she never took crap from any smart mouthed kid no matter who the parents were.... we sat beside the side of the road many a times because she refused to drive with distractions of yammering kids... gosh I miss her.

That got to me too...........although if the money thing is correct as reported, and she will be able to retire that might help a little bit.........BUT STILL......even with that..............what has happened to MANNERS........ Yes you read this right. Almost 1/2 million.
If I understand correctly, I believe she used to be a bus driver.

She is thinking about going back as a bus monitor this fall.
I hope she thinks more serious about retiring instead.

But, for some people...........working part time IS retiring.........it keeps them busy and if she loves it, what else can you ask??? Gotta do whatever makes you happy........

I tell you, from the interviews I have seen,...........she is MUCH MORE FORGIVING than I would have been..........gotta admire her!!
