    Default Orthodontic Money Brag:)

    I wanted to brag and knew you guys would understand the excitement. Not only did I save enough money to pay cash for my daughter's two years of braces today but I also got $500 off for being a teacher and paying cash up front. I hated handing over 32 crisp $100 bills but it feels so fantastic to know that they are paid for and that I got to save 5 crisp bills to put back into savings End brag.

    We are debt free besides our house payment!!!

    I want your orthodontist. DD's braces cost $5250 eleven years ago and after getting a discount for being paid in full up front.

    My dental insurance covered $1500 of it too.

    dd got her braces off 2 wks ago and we still have on payment to go.... because dh wanted to sit on the money. sure we had it but he wanted payments- hes just such a nub sometimes. great to see that you got to put somethig back in savings

    WTG! We had to have braces for dd last year b/c of a front tooth that didn't want to come down. It felt so good to be able to pay for everything w/cash (after saving for it). They gave us a nice discount, not to mention, we were grateful to get a second opinion about the procedure.....which saved us about 1600. We had looked into insurance, but after the money taken out of dh's check each payday...it would have only saved us $9!..So insurance didn't cut it (sad)...we saved more by just saving up for it.
