Exclamation Did anybody have a sticker collection when they were a kid?

I did! I loved the scratch and sniff ones! And the puffy stickers. My mom couldn't afford to buy me new ones, so I always envied my friends theirs.

Did I have a sticker collection? I had more sticker albums than most families have photo albums! I loved the puffy stickers wtih the googly eyes, like the vegetable ones. Oh, and then they came out with he satin stickers. LOVED THEM! Ooooh! And then, they came up with those stickers with the greenish/bluish liquid in them. They were awesome. Oh, and the shiny stickers! My best friend and I used to trade our stickers with each other like crazy. Oh my goodness, when I think about the fights we would get in over good/bad trades! She is now my dd's godmother and she lives in San Francisco. For Christmas she sent dd an enormous box of Sandylion stickers that has over 2500 in it! I almost passed out, I was so excited! Then I reminded myself that I'm 31 and I don't trade stickers anymore, and they were for dd, not me. These days, I trade coupons. Hmmmm...do I see a pattern developing here?

I used to have sticker collections, all kinds of em, puffy, prism, shiny, glittery, scratch and sniff, from the teacher stickers, and on and on. My son now loves stickers, but I can't for the life of me find any albums....any hints? I have concidered making him one...but i would like to see if i could find one first, LOL. I still love stickers and do trade em under the guise of trading scrapbook supplies....

I am laughing because this thread tells how old you are. I am with Carolyn, we had sticker books, but not sticker collections. My Mom once made my dd a covered album, like a photo album for her stickers and she loved collecting them. I have noticed some of the girls at school (5th grade) collect some with girls on them. The girls on the stickers look like Brat Dolls, has anyone seen them? They buy them from machines and trade their doubles. I think they are addictive for them.

I am too old to have collected stickers as a child but, I have a collection now! LOL! Our Granddaughters and I buy stickers and share them. We have sticker albums and have for several years. I like to use stickers on snail mail too. Theresa, I think we got our sticker albums at Toys R Us.

I didn't have one but my younger sisters both did. I remember that they also loved the ones with the googly eyes, and the smelly ones. I also remember them getting into so much trouble for sticking stickers on my brand new French Provenical Canopy bed and the night stands that went with it. I was so mad but not as mad as my Mom, I can even remember that they were the scratch and sniff ones, smelled like fruit, grapes and cherries and bananas. I don't think that we ever completely got the adhesive off of the furniture.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane

    Blessings,
    Kathy
