Here is the very unfrugal thing I'm doing for myself!!!!
I wrote earlier that Malcom and I are having some problems and I have been really down lately. I haven't even hardly posted lately (I have a lot to catch up on) because I'm just sad!! I spoke to him this morning and everything went well in the conversation then just in a spilt second he's ready to go and doesn't want to talk anymore and said he would call me in a couple of days. Anyway, I had a good and I mean really good 2 hour cry and then turned on TLC and makeover story was on. It gave me a great idea!!
So, today at 2:30 I'm going to get my haircut and get a consult on getting my hair colored. I usually never get a "real" hair cut". I just get a quick trim for about 6 bucks and they never spend anytime with you. So I'm going to go and get pampered and I might get my hair colored if the price isn't too outragous. I'm a little nervous about getting my hair colored because I've never done it before. Then I might even fork out the money (around 20 dollars) for an hour. This really isn't being very frugal but I really feel I need something for myself!! I'll let you know how it goes when I get home.

I agree you go for it!!! Your a beautiful kind woman and you deserve it!!! Being frugal means that sometimes you can splurge on something for yourself!! Go be pampered and enjoy every non-frugal minute of it....lol.....

Thank you for your prayers...we really need them and I know that this pampering is just a temporary fix but Sherry's right, we all need to be spoiled every once in awhile.

Good for you! I am so happy to hear that you're going out and doing something for yourself. It's so much better than staying home and being upset and hurt. Hope you love your new haircut.
Enjoy your pampering.

I'm so sad to hear that Malcom is acting like that, but you sound like you'll really enjoy getting your hair done and focusing on yourself

What color do you think you'll do? Are you going to get highlights? Sounds like a great idea whatever you choose, I keep telling myself I'll splurge on a real haircut and maybe even highlights but I never do it

Daphne,
Pampering yourself is not a "quick fix"! It took me a long time to figure this out, but pampering is the term women use for something we should do regularly--taking care of yourself!
I don't know you or your dh and I'm sorry that you are having problems, but the most important thing you must do before you can have a healthy relationship is to love you. What I mean by that is that you have to put yourself first. Especially by taking care of yourself.
I'm on my second marriage...if I have my say ... my last (smile). My first marriage I put HIS needs before my own and I was miserable. I didn't love me enough to see this.
I sincerely hope that this is not the circumstances of your marriage.
My point:
The hair cut and the dye...GREAT IDEA...While you're at it, have a facial or manicure...do more things to make yourself feel good. Once you've enhanced the outside, the inside will reflect it. You will actually start feeling happier.
A side benefit--Malcolm may take notice and start wondering why you aren't pining away for him....do him good!
BTW--You are an absolutely drop dead gorgeous woman...don't let anyone make you feel that you aren't!
