Default Sad day in my hometown

My Mom told me last night that one of the kids who lived in my hometown was killed in Iraq. I was able to look him up on cnn.com today and it's true.

Staff Sgt. Lincoln D. Hollinsaid was killed by enemy fire on April 7, 2003, in Iraq. He died for us and for our freedom. He was 27 years old.

I'm sure that in a town the size of our (pop. 385) that there are many hearts that are broken. I did not know him, I moved away sometime before his family moved in, but I am thankful he served for us.

Thank you, Staff Sgt. Hollinsaid. You did not die in vain.

A greatful thank you to all those who serve so that we can be free. We will remember those who paid the ultimate price in our prayers for a long time.

He did not die in vain. I appreciate everything he did for our freedom and what everyone else is doing to keep our freedom.

My deepest sympathies to his family. He was a very courageous soldier, as all soldiers who went to Iraq...I admire their courage.
