The last couple of days have got me thinking its time to begin to check out the fall and winter clothing and see whats needed. Its been very cool at nights (which I love) and the days have cooled down by about 12 degrees.
We will still have some warmer days yet, but its the time of year when I like to check what I have, declutter if things are too small and then try to find what I need at yard sales or the thrift stores.

You do realize what you are asking here right? I have already checked them about a month or more ago
I have already bought a few long sleeved shirts. One black sweater with the white shirt underneath (i think it's called french cuffs that it has?) I can't wait to start wearing it! It is not baggy at all, it is very slimming. I also have already bought some olive green courdoury pants for a change from my usual denim. Other than those things I won't really need much...
I have plenty of boots, coats, warm pants....
OH!!! I DO need to buy a scarf. And *maybe a new set of cap/mittens. My last pair seems like it got really stretched out and washing/drying doesn't help.
I also might want to invest in a very good quality of khaki pants. I don't own a pair of those.

I just went through my drawers and closet and deposited 3 bags of clothes I don't wear in the goodwill box(after dd picked out what she wanted)....I found out , to my surprise that I have only two sweaters...so I started looking today at the goodwill and I found a really nice sweater for 3.50...like new!!!!
CJ, my clothes are all season clothes! I just use the jeans more in winter! here though it raely gets so cold I use a jacket or anything.
None of us even have real coats!
Did that back in June (to get stuff ready to bring to secondhand shops to sell). A couple weeks ago when the shop I go to put out all their winter stuff- I went there the frist day and was able to get DD a winter jacket, DS a bunch of nice long sleeve shirts, a heavy sweatshirt, winter boots. The early bird definitely gets the worm!

Well went clothes shopping this afternoon and the kids are all set for fall. Haven't bought them new clothes in so long. So I told them that tomorrow was the day..............cleaning out the dressers!! We did this in the spring but now we can get rid of more plus the summer clothes that never got worn! I am actually looking forward to this!
As for me, haven't done it in so long, I don't have alot of clothes so it doesn't take too long..........I always think I am going to lose this weight so I don't go ahead and buy much!!
I wear the same shirts year round. I am waaay too hot blooded to wear sweaters or even sweatshirts! I am in Oregon, so we DO have real winters here (with TONS of rain). My only change is that I get my pants out (as late as I can--last year it was almost Halloween!). I don't even wear socks unless it ir snowing. Then I will take off my Birkenstocks and carry them to work. I change into them while I am there and put on tennies when I leave. Most of the people I work with are very, very cold blooded (some of them are wearing sweaters and wool pants in JULY! ), so I have to dress light or pass out from the heat!
