Default Update on us

We've been pretty busy over here.

We've started house hunting. We found a few things we liked.
We almost put a bid on a place until the realtor called us and gave me an hour notice and tried to force my hand on it. I don't like that she wouldn't listen when I told her what we could afford monthly...and the area that I want to live in. I also didn't like that fact that she is trying to get me to forgo discussing anything with DH...says that she works with women who do that all the time....Not me...

Anyway..car is acting up again..go figure...occassionally the blinkers won't work and sometimes you have to fight hard to turn left...brilliant...I am beginning to think that I am just cursed by owning a FORD....

DS is doing good at daycare..although he is asking if he can go to school..the unfortunate thing is that his birthday doesn't fall at the right time of the year...he seems so sad when I tell him he has another year to go before he can start school.

I am learning how to book and finalize car deals at work. I honestly believe that i deserve a RAISE!..but my bosses don't seem to agree...the girl they hired to do recievables still isn't catching on. We have given her visual aids and notes galore..but they don't help when she refuses to use them. SHe keeps coming to me with her problems and I keep telling her I don't have time for it and she needs to use the notes she was provided with and that if she is having problems to see her boss as I am trying to do my work..I know that's harsh but I'm hoping this way she'll become a little more independent...

Oh yeah on a bright note with most everyone leaving me alone at work this month I have gotten my biggest payable account down to only 18 outstanding invoices out of 600. That is a first. It does help that I have the Enterprise guy scared of me..*L*

Anyway need to get ds to bed..

Phaedrae

ps...I forgot and instead of losing weight I seem to be going up up up.....

Wow. You sound pretty busy. I wouldn't like the realtor trying to make me decide without dh either! Its too bad you have a co-worker who is so needy. Good luck on the house-hunting!

Wow. You really are busy. Hang in there and don't ever let the realtor boss you around. Remind her that she is there at your choice and she can be replaced. I would hint for a raise if your incredible work record continues and if that doesn't work, I'd mention it more seriously. Great to hear from you and I am glad that your ds is in a good daycare. Take care.

Unfortunately, there's alot of people who buy a house in haste because the realtor pressures them by saying crap like they have another offer or they have someone else to look at it. Haste makes waste- as my grandma always used to say. Good for you for standing your ground with her.

There's no bigger pain in the rear that car trouble, no matter what make you own. (Ford- Found On Road Dead, Fix Or Repair Daily...) Sorry, had to get my cracks in Actually we have a Ford Pickup- 1979 I think it is and it goes like a bat outta you know where. Paid $500.00 for it, but the body is falling off it. But it goes great.

Definitely ask for that raise- sounds like you've been cranking and really deserve it!

Sounds like you may want to find a different realtor. DH and I met with a few before we found one that we liked. The first guy tried to pressure us and make us sign all this paperwork just to have him as our realtor and so I told him "Just because I am young does not make me stupid."
Anyways, our realtor now is wonderful. She never pressured us a bit about our decisions. It took us ages to find a house that we both agreed on and she was with us every step of the way helping any way she could. And of course, we will use her when we sell our home and buy our new home and we refer her to our friends when they are in search of a good realtor. It's been more than 2 years since we bought our house and we still talk with her on a pretty regular basis.

Don't let that realtor push you around, find another one. There are zillions of them.

Thanks ladies.

I actually have another realtor lined up. I actually met her 7 years ago when my sister and b-i-l were buying there first house. And now that they are looking for a new house I see her almost every weekend.. Even tho she is not my realtor yet she still asks me questions about what I want and such. Also she has added some nice incentives if we go with her. I think it's also a big bonus that AJ warmed right up to her. When he met her he asked..."Are you a gramma?"...she just laughed and said she could be...

We told this one realtor the price range we were looking into and and he showed us this house where the backyard was the freeway. When I said I didn't think it was what I was interested in because of the children...he said well you're not going to find what you want in your price range.

errr, excuse me? buhbye now!

There is a house out there for you guys and you don't need some salesperson pressuring you. You're paying this person and I think you should trust them and feel comfortable.

I'm glad you have a new one lined up. Good Luck househunting.
