We're under a Tropical Storm watch!
Depending on Isabel's path, this could upgrade to hurricane watch!

The last direct hit NJ took was 100 years ago today. That's a good statistic, I guess, lol. I read that we are protected by NC because of the way it juts out into the Atlantic, we are usually spared. The last "big one" was Gloria in 1985, and she went out to sea at the last minute.
Just have to tie down the grill and make sure we have everything we need in a central location-batteries, flashlights, candles, can opener, etc.
I'm expecting we could lose our power...Danielle

I hope you are going to be ok and that storm will just head another way. I'm in Norfolk, VA and it's not looking good for us either. Scary!! Just hang tight and prepare for the worst. Keeping you in my thoughts!

I'm in New Jersey too and told DH to bring in all the patio furniture. His typical response was "Let's wait a day and see...." I know that the night he is working the storm will hit and I will be running around like an idiot trying to get everything inside!
Also my kids all play sports and are scheduled to play games this weekend, they are already starting to talk about canceling. Hopefully the storms bark will be worse than its actual bite.

Keep safe Danielle

We are bracing ourselves here in Staunton, Va too, we're in the middle of the Shenandoah Valley and right in the projected path of Isabel, and it could get really bad here with the flooding and I'm sure we'll be without power for a while. The stress is really starting to get to me so I'm trying desperately to stay busy.
Everyone take care and stay safe

3xmoma-We took down all of the patio furniture last night and moved our kayaks. I saw in the Courier Post yesterday that places like Deptford and Cherry Hill could get tropical storm/hurricane force winds!
Continuing to batten our hatches today.....Danielle
