Rambling Football Widow...
Well...I guess the title says it all. Football season is back in full force here in the States (Not Soccer--Heaven...LOL). The DH is in the game room glued to the tube and I am left to contemplate the universe...sigh...
I've got a lot to think about today. Do I keep looking for another job and try to start my own business or avoid the "work for yourself " head-ache and just find another job? Unemployment only lasts so long and I'm at about the 1/2 way point right now. I keep putting in applications but so far no bites.
If I were to start cleaning houses, I'd have to be bonded...that runs about $1000.oo...doesn't look promising.
I could start drawing and painting again, but you know how that is...most of the time you have to die to actually see any money...hehehehehehe...I ain't no Monet, Picasso or Rembrandt.
Hmmmm....Don't mind me...I'm just rambling...rambling...rambling....hehehehehehehehehe

I feel your pain! I'm just wondering, since we are "widows", when is it acceptable to begin dating again?

LOL Dixie!
I love football so I watch it with him. No widow here. I usually tell him what is going on when he misses something.~*Michelle*~

I am a widow of different sorts. Dh doesn't much watch sports, except nascar. But right now a lot of flooring companies and suppliers in the area have been holding open houses and seminars. So that's where he has been every spare moment. there is only so much wood flooring I can stare at in a day.

I try to watch with him but I end up napping on the couch.
Thats cool but for him waking me up every few minutes asking when dinner is ready!

I decided to abide by the old addage, "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" I started doing quilting stuff and watching with him. At least then I can still do something and also spend some time with him

LOL. I am a nascar wife. I watch occasionally, but not faithfully

I spent the day doing stuff with my ds (when I could drag him home from the neighbors house--he'd live there if I let him--seems Kyle has PS2). After dinner, we watched a movie and then made no-bakes.
DD got home around 7 then fell asleep watching another movie.
It's 9:40 pm and DH is still glued to the tube...Dolphins came on at 8:30.
He's on 2nd shift this week...sigh...just might get to see him for an hour before I go to bed each night. I need a job...boredom has set in and I like earning my own money!
Let's see what tomorrow brings...probably more of the same...

Good Luck with the job search Graci.
I, like some of the other ladies, am a Nascar wife. However, I enjoy watching Nascar, just not to the extent DH does. So, I pop in and watch bits and pieces of the races with him. I do love to go to the actual races though - it's much more exciting in person than on tv. Hopefully headin' to Bristol in the Spring.
