    Cool back to work?

I need a little advice, I was just at Joann fabrics, (I used to work there) and the manager asked me to come back to work for her. She said she needs some good workers she can trust....

I really have nothing keeping me at home, no kids, grandson is now in school so I don't babysit, and I could use the money to pay some bills off......

I don't know what to do, I like the job, but some times (as anyone in retail knows) the customers can be brutal.....

What to do????? Oh did I mention, I get a 10% discount

Hmmm? My mom went back to work at a grocery store after quite a few years as a stay at home mom. She decided to work part time only so she is still getting the extra cash and getting out of the house, but she also still has plenty of off time. Maybe you could try it part time? The discount is definitely enticing, but you have to do what will make you happiest.

If I wasn't totally strapped for money I think I would try it part time. The only thing is you will have to watch it and not spend all you pay check in the store.

Jayne, did you like working there? Were they nice to you?
As far as the customers go I say"be a duck" just let the goofy stuff flow off your back and smile pretty and enjoy that paycheck.

I have worked in food and retail for decades...... I don't let nasty customers ruin my day...... I won't give them the satisfaction... I don't (intentionally) give anyone cause to be nasty.... If I run into one of those people, although I may not be as nice as normally I would, I am always diplomatic... Don't let them bother you !!!!!!
99% of the people you serve will not be that nasty person you fear....

Oooh can you buy material for your friends too? Just kidding.

Can you go back part time and see how you like it. That will give you a few extra $$ and you should know within a short time whether you really want to be working or not.

Let us know how it all turns out.
