Our entire house is shaking!
They are clearing trees on our side of the road today and are right in front of our house. They are taking down a 100' maple tree and the machines are making our house shake!
I hope I can get out to go for my appt.~~ Dee ~~

This is a fix our road project they were supposed to start 4-5 years ago!! They have been battling with the wet lands people all this time. They just started last week clearing trees and this big old maple is in the way!
I hate to see it go because it blocks the road from us, but on the other hand the last few wind storms huge branches (6-10" in diameter) have been coming down off it. So it really is time for it to go.~~ Dee ~~

Actually Carolyn, 3 of the fellows came up and asked Jack if we wanted it cut into firewood first. But we don't have a wood stove or fireplace so our neighbor took most of it.
We have tons of mulch on the bank though.
You're right Lori, it is a whole new view. Will just take some getting used to. The tree didn't shade the house, it was too far away. But it did take care of a lot of the noise from the road. Our road has thousands of cars and tractor trailers on it all day and night!~~ Dee ~~
