Default Very scarey tomatoes and jelly!!!!

My brother has been cleaning out the basement of my parent's home since she passed and he was in the canning cellar/coal bin the other day......well he found jars of canned tomatoes and grape jelly that are at least 40 years old ......mom and dad bought the house when I was 4 and they brought the jars with from the farm we had lived on......my sister said that the tomatoes were so scary looking and my brother said the jelly has to be pure alcohol by now!!!!! Everyone had a good much needed chuckle!!!!!

I wonder what else will be found, as mom and dad didn't seem to throw alot away??????

I'm glad you could get a good laugh out of this. Think antique canned goods are worth anything? LOL!

LOL!! When we moved here the same thing happened. Down in the basement was a huge shelf full of preserves etc.....the date on some of them was "Summer 1962"!! What a job that was emptying them all!
