anyone know of a support group for....
anyone know of a support group for families or spouses dealing with Heart Conditions? Specifically Idiopathic Hypertrophic Subaortic Stenosis (enlarged heart)? My husband found out last month that he has this hereditary disease and he has been put on medication to slow him down....which means now I have to do all of the work around the house and with the kids so that he doesn't get stressed out. I am now kinda burnt out, I am constantly tired, stressed out about the housework, bills, etc. and I can't sit and talk with him about it because it makes him feel like crap, kinda like he is not being the man that he should be...I know he is doing the best he can and I don't want to stress him out or upset him....
Anyone know of any online support groups that are based around this type of thing?
TIA

Yeah, I've searched on google for the disease and all I have found are vague descriptions of what it is, nothing support wise. I actually think I know more about the disease than any of the information I have gotten from the web on it.
The disease is hereditary, his dad had it, his brother and neice both have it and have already had the open heart surgery and gotten pace makers. He will end up having open heart surgery and a pacemaker..... and there is a 50% chance that ny kids could wind up having this disease now.Grocery Challenge $98.22/635
