    Default I Didn't Mean to Peek...

    I swear, I really didn't. On Sunday mornings, dh takes dd to church (they are both Catholic, I am Presbyterian) so while he's showering and getting dressed, I get her all ready to go. Dh is usually running late, so I also get her coat on and put her in the car seat and wait with her in the car until he's running out the door.

    Anyway, we were running WAY late this morning, (due to the dog waking us up at 2:30 am to go out and then neither of us being able to fall back to sleep until around 5:00 am), and so I was sitting with dd in the car for awhile. We were chatting and laughing and I went to put her backpack with her snack in it on the floor, out of my way, and my hand hit something. I know dh went shopping yesterday, but I'm so tired that I'm a little delerious this morning and I looked down to see what it was. It was a plastic bag, but the edge of a box was sticking out of it. IT WAS A POSTAL SCALE!!! I'm so excited! Now I can always know about what I'm going to mail will weigh and can check the Post Office website to figure out how much it will cost to send. Seriously, I would never have thought of asking for it and am so touched that dh thought of it. Now I have to perfect my surprised look for Christmas morning, but I'm not too worried about that. Everyone always tells me I should be an actress.

    Yes, I realize I am like a 5 year old right now, but it was very exciting for me. I hope he likes his gifts as much as I like this one! I actually feel quite guilty about peeking, but TECHNICALLY, it wasn't a peek...right?

    Technically it wasn't a peek. You were just trying to move things out of your way, so that doesn't count. Even though you just had to see what your hand hit.
