So how many of you have to work tomorrow? I know that a lot of you ladies are probably cooking up a storm, I know my mom and mil are. Anyway, since DH is a resturant manager and since Mothers Day is their busiest day I get to go in and help. Normally one of the managers is in charge of Gift Certificates but to leave all of them free to help seat, bus tables, and keep the food full I get to sit at the exit door and sale gift certificates so they don't have to worry with it. They also have a lemonade stand at the entrance for the people waiting to get in (I use to work for one of this resturants in college and we had people that said they had been wait in line to pay for over an hour and a half) Thankfully this particular one isn't as busy as that one was, at least I hope it isn't. The GM's wife is manning the lemonade. Whats cool though is they are having a cookout for the team members and anyone helping and the company is paying for it. DH hasn't told me how long I'll have to be there, but I am guessing at least thru the end of the main lunch rush (They are opening at 10:30 and I think he has to be there at 8 or so, I'll probably go there no later than 10 or 10:15 just so I can get a parking space. He said that even on non holiday Sunday's there is a crowd at the door when they open at 10:45 so I can only imagine what it will look like tomorrow.
That's nice of you to help out Kat! Tomorrow we're taking my future MIL to breakfast. We took my mom out this morning, so we won't have to do a lot of running around tomorrow.
It was funny how it happened. He asked if i was driving home, I said no then he asked if I was going to sit at home and watch the race and I told him they took mothers day off and then he told me good, because we want you to help us out Sunday....lol
I'm happy to do it though, it beats sitting at home by myself all day like I've done since we moved here.
I won't be working for pay, but I will be working! DH's very last day of classes is tomorrow (YIPPPEEE!), so he will be gone all morning. Then, he has to go to HIS mom and dad's house to fix their computer. I don't know WHEN to expect him.
I will be doing laundry, bathing the dog...all the usual Sunday stuff. I just hope the kids will be good and help instead of whining.
We are celebrating Mother's Day next weekend for his mom since DH has a paper to finish up. Then he will be completely finished and can graduate with his Master's degree!
My parents live 3000 mile sawasy, so I will be calling my mom and spend a little quality time with her and the phone.
