heading off to go meet carolyn
Zachary told Alexandra there are 5 rules when we go.
1. No throwing toys in the water (off the boat)
2. No crying
3. No sneezing
4. No trouble
5. No being a princess
hmmm, hope she doesn't break his rules. roflIf you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. Our visit was great! 4 hours flew by like it was 5 minutes though.
Carolyn is even more sweet than she appears here posting.
My mil called before I was leaving and kept me on the phone. I kept telling her I needed to go and why. Alexandra didn't get a nap in because I was trapped on the phone with mil, so she was so exhausted. I wasn't ready yet to go, but noooo mil kept on gabbing. grrr Needless to say, I ended up throwing something on and my hair wasn't even done. ugh Then as I'm heading out the door, my mom calls. Then Gabe had to stop back off to work to tie up a loose end. I thought we were going to be late.
Anyway....
The boat ride was really nice. My kids were throwing popcorn and feeding the ducks. They were a bit of a handful, so I didn't get to talk as much as I wanted to. Here's a pic of the boat we rode.

Carolyn was so sweet and gave both my kids pinwheels which really helped keep them happy on the boat ride.
We had dinner here:

The food was great. Alexandra especially enjoyed the crayons. So much that she decided to color the tablecloths. lol She was so tired that when Gabe just set her in her carseat she fell asleep instantly. In the ice cream, they put these cute little plastic animal figures. Zachary is playing with them already this morning.
My ice cream had a pink elephant. hmmm. rofl
Zachary warmed up to them immediately. He NEVER is like that and it was adorable. He told Carolyn he wanted her to stay forever. He was hugging and holding hands and it was just so precious. He was talking about them all the way home. He wanted them to come and stay at our house.
Carolyn gave both my kids the sweetest gifts. Zachary was happily going through his goodies all the way home and couldn't wait to play with everything.
All I know is that the time flew by way too fast. I was so happy that we had the chance to meet. I hope we can visit again soon. Hopefully, next time will be a little longer or at least not feel like it flew by so quickly.
Hack was so nice too. They are a special couple. He dug some hostas from the garden to share with me. I'm going to get them in the ground today.
They were both so kind to my kids. It was a special day for all of us.If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online.
