Do you have plans for the 4th?
We don't. We'll be cooking out and I got a few small fireworks for the little ones to enjoy. I'm afraid a big fireworks show would scare them. Dd freaks out when the noon whistle goes off!

We're heading back over to Montana to my parents' home on the lake there. My Mom already headed back for Hawaii, but my Aunty Linda, her daughter Carrie and Carrie's son Sammy are going to be there. So...we are going to be the "hosts" this year! We always go the the parade in town, so swimming, have a big potluck BBQ with the neighbors and then watch the fireworks that night.

I'm having a family reunion at my house-- over 50 people coming. Saturday, my dd is riding her horse in the parade at White Hall, about 35 miles away.

I have to work (that's okay, it's a paid holiday; so I'll get paid for 2 shifts instead of one), but I will get off work in time to go the festivites at the local park.....games, free food, and watching a flag burning that will be done by my son Andrew and a few of his fellow Scout Troop members. The American flag that flies at the local park is being replaced, and you can't throw away an American flag

Saturday my parents are having a big family party with my aunts and uncles and cousins, and a few distant relatives. That should be a lot of fun.
The 4th itself I'm not sure yet~ after church DD and I will probably head over to the festival in the town where DH is a cop. We might stay for fireworks there, not sure yet as they are calling for rain here.

No, the kids are all working. I will be thinking about all the freedoms we hold dear and those far away defending the USA though.
