    Talking July 1 - YAY it's canada day !!!

Happy Canada Day to all my Canadian friends. What will you all do today? Is it a public holiday?

One of the benefits of being online is that I've met some wonderful friends and I feel very close to you canadian girls.

I hope you all have a happy family celebration today for your great nation.

DH, DS and I will be having pancakes with maple syrup tonight as a friendly gesture across the miles.

    Aww thanks!!!!!!!!!!

Well I'm going to celebrate by helping ds move. His roomies have left him the bulk of the work. Sooooo I think that makes a lot of stuff fair game to be tossed, and the good stuff we will move.

We live and we learn, and boy is he learning!

If they get upset with him, he should remind them, that leaving him with the packing was their decision to make, and once they did that, it was up to him HOW it got done.

Learning curve coming up for ds's roomies.

And ds won't make the mistake of not clarifying who does what and when with a move ever again.

After that epic I will grill something for dinner. I plan to leave it marinating while we work.

In the evening there are fireworks which alarm my girl dog something bad, so in the evening I will be cuddling a medium size border collie. Which I like to do anyways.

    Happy Canada Day all!

Margery, my dogs Alice and Rosie hate fireworks too. It makes them go nuts and they run around like mad things until they drop. When I know fireworks will be on - which I really hate BTW, fireworks and windchimes GRRRRRRRRR!!!, anyhow, I take both of them inside and turn on the telly. It seems to calm them down.

    Thank you ladies!

Ds#1 is working most of the day at the park where the celebrations will be held. He'll be flipping burgers and organizing games for kids.

Ds#2 & dd are volunteer first-aiders at the celebrations.

Dh and I will probably watch some of the festivities when we drop the dks off and then we're coming home. For dinner we'll grill some chicken burgers and have potatoe salad. Ice cold watermelon will be our dessert.

We were going to have friends over for dinner but they had to cancel so we'll have a quiet relaxing day.

    Thank you dear friends.

Dh is working today, but we'll be celebrating tonight with going to the fireworks. We love them. Chelsey just gets so excited and to watch Michael is just the cutest. He smiles and smiles the whole time they are going. We will need to bring lots of bug spray though, the mosquitoes are horrible this year.

    Thank-you everyone!

I'm home alone, now...Mathieu is working on a friend's farm, Pierre is there to help out, Francois is out with his friends, Patrick is playing at his friend's and Daniel slept over a friend's for his birthday...! lol

Hopefully if it doesn't continue to rain and thunder, we will also go see some fireworks...

    Happy Canada Day!
