    Default Another Update on my Niece

    Hi all, I have good news to report.  My niece's pathology report came back Tuesday, and she only has stage 2 cancer and the cells were well defined.  She has a 95-97% survival rate. She will only have to have 2 chemo drugs instead of 3-5.  She will get the chemo for the next 6 months if all goes well.  They also said the tumor they removed was 1/3 her body weight.  The tumor weighed about 7 lbs. Also my SIL wrote today to say that she had her first chemo and is doing pretty well. Children do not have as bad of side effects as adults and rebound more rapidly.  Next week will be her first birthday.  Thank goodness things are looking up.

    Oh my! That tumor was big! I'm happy to hear that the surgery went well. I'm praying for her full recovery with the chemo. I'm continuing to keep your sweet neice in my thoughts and prayers. What a courageous little girl she is. When is her birthday exactly?....
