Well, I had all kinds of good intentions to make this a frugal day. I had planned to stay home and get lots of frugal stuff done but...Josh invited me to go to lunch with him so I did. On the way we ended up stopping at a friend's house to pick up some assignments for a class and then my other son called to tell us the volcano was erupting. We watched that and then headed into town taking a "short cut" that Josh knew about on the back roads that turned out to be a long route. We got into town finally and had lunch then did some shopping. Well I found 2 pairs of shoes (total of $8.99) and then 2 pairs of capri pants ($15.99 total) that I needed for our trip to Hawaii in November. Josh got a book at Waldenbooks with his gift certificate. Next we went to the bank to deposit money into the boys accounts and then onto the next town to check in on hubby. While there, I got sick (something I ate did not agree with me) and we ended up coming home where I could be near the bathroom. This afternoon and evening I'm working on biographical reports with the boys.
Moral of the story:
Next time skip the lunch, hit the bargains and be a bit more frugal!
Kimmee,
If I have the same "ailment" as some of the other ladies here have then
#1. It's an immaculate conception
or
#2 There is a doctor in big time trouble cause something in my hubby had to have come unclipped!
Sounds to me like a pretty frugal, albeit not completely *fun* day. Hope you're feeling better soon. WTG on the bargains, they sound great
